Kabuso is a medium-sized, evergreen citrus tree, bearing 4-5 cm fruit, thick-skinned and juicy. Taste is tart not sweet. Rind matures from green to yellow, pale yellow flesh. Seeds can be white or green. Rind and juice can be used as flavouring in fresh or cooked dishes, with vegetables, meat or seafood.
