Pigeon Pea is a small tree to 2 metres. Yellow-red pea flowers. Pods similar to English peas, young pods used in same way. Mature pods should be dried. Prefers subtropical climates. Frost tender. Excellent soil improver or ‘chop and drop’ mulch.
